Empowering the Culture is a six-week hybrid community series created by INFINITEQUE that explores the power of games culture as a space for storytelling, creativity, mentorship, reflection, and human connection.
Taking place across four in-person Wednesdays in July at Atlas Cinemas in Cleveland’s Shaker Square neighborhood, followed by two virtual community sessions in August, the series brings together gamers, creators, educators, artists, storytellers, competitors, and community members for a shared cultural experience rooted in play, conversation, and community.
More than a gaming event or esports tournament, Empowering the Culture is designed to explore the human side of games culture — the memories, relationships, creativity, music, identity, and shared experiences that connect people across generations and communities.
Through live conversations, gaming experiences, tournaments, documentary storytelling, music, free play spaces, and community interaction, the series creates opportunities for people to gather, reflect, learn, and connect.
Each week of Empowering the Culture blends multiple experiences together into one shared community atmosphere.
Whether you are a lifelong gamer, a parent, a creative, a student, an educator, or simply curious about the role games play in people’s lives, Empowering the Culture is designed to create space for participation, connection, and discovery.

At its core, Empowering the Culture is grounded in a simple idea:
Games culture is about people.
Through GamerGen: Where Stories Emerge, participants explore their own “gamer genealogy” which embodies the experiences, memories, and stories that shaped them.
These stories are not forced.
They emerge.
And in doing so, they reveal something deeper:
That the culture we build around games is a reflection of ourselves.
• Youth and young adults (ages 10–25+)
• Families and community members
• Gamers of all levels
• Creators, educators, and mentors
• Anyone interested in culture, storytelling, and technology
