Empowering the Culture is a community-centered games culture series produced by INFINITEQUE, designed to explore how gaming connects people, shapes identity, and creates pathways into technology, creativity, and career opportunities.
Rooted in Cleveland’s communities, the program is designed to reflect the lived experiences, creativity, and cultural contributions of the people who shape the city.
Hosted in Cleveland’s Shaker Square, the series brings together gamers, creators, educators, and community members in a shared space that blends conversation, competition, and storytelling.
Through live conversations, storytelling, and competitive play, the program creates space for participants to reflect on their experiences and engage with games as a meaningful part of human culture.
Each week Includes:
conversations on games culture, identity, and community
casual & social game experiences
structured competitive gaming
storytelling and documentary capture
Games are one of the most widely shared cultural experiences in the world.
Across generations and communities, people have grown up with games—forming friendships, learning systems, navigating challenges, and building identity along the way.
But too often, these experiences are not recognized as meaningful or connected to real-world opportunity.
Empowering the Culture creates space to:
• recognize games culture as a powerful human experience
• connect gaming to education, careers, and creative pathways
• strengthen community through shared stories
• introduce structure, mentorship, and intention into gaming spaces
This is about more than gaming.
It’s about what gaming reveals, and what it can build.
It creates space for those experiences to be seen, valued, and expanded into new possibilities.

At its core, Empowering the Culture is grounded in a simple idea:
Games culture is about people.
Through GamerGen: Where Stories Emerge, participants explore their own “gamer genealogy” which embodies the experiences, memories, and stories that shaped them.
These stories are not forced.
They emerge.
And in doing so, they reveal something deeper:
That the culture we build around games is a reflection of ourselves.
• Youth and young adults (ages 10–25+)
• Families and community members
• Gamers of all levels
• Creators, educators, and mentors
• Anyone interested in culture, storytelling, and technology
